The Nanny Spy Camera

At some point in their lives, a parent must face the difficult decision to leave their child and place him or her into the care of a nanny or babysitter. This could be for a full day or a matter of hours. No matter what the timescale, how can you be sure that the caregiver of your child in this time is providing your child with the standard of care they deserve? Can you be sure there not just sat listening to music, or on the phone to friends? Your child could be the victim of different types of abuse or unsavory acts. If you suspect anything of the sort then its time you invested in a nanny spy camera.

The nanny spy camera is a term used for a collection of cameras used both in plain site and more covert, hidden cameras. Some people choose the let their nanny be aware they are being supervised via film and use cameras placed in plain site. However they suffer from the disadvantage of being exactly that. In plain sight. How do you know this is how your nanny acts when nobody is around?

This is where the spy camera comes into its element. It provides the ideal answer to this problem. Hidden within all sorts of day-to-day objects. They covertly record events unfolding in the room without alerting anybody to their presence. They can be placed in all sorts on disguises such as books on shelves, a clock mounted on the wall or even devices such as pens that are then placed innocently on a shelf or work top. Using these types of cameras allows you to see what your nanny or caregiver is really like when they believe nobody is watching and let you supervise your child's care discreetly.

When buying a hidden camera, its very important to examine the details of the different models and make sure it provides everything you need it to. The devices work in one of 2 ways.

Transmitter - Receiver Models

The versions of hidden cameras work in two separate parts. The first is the camera and transmitter section. This section is small enough to be placed inside medium sized objects with only the smallest hole needed for the lense. Often found in books and clocks they are placed in items out of reach. While they offer a good disguise at first glance, closely examined they will often fall victim to discovery.  The second part is the receiver. With the range of the transmitter it, you will usually be required to place this in close proximity of the transmitter. Normally a different room in the house, hooked up to a recording device suck as a DVD recorder or PC. It is important you keep this room off bounds as it is not the most discreet of devices once discovered.

Built in Memory

One example of a built in memory spy camera is the spy pen. Numerous other devices of this kind exist such as spy glasses or even small packets of gum. These devices have such good disguises they can be given to the target without them having any clue they are being filmed. These devices allow you to film with minimal risk of being discovered. The only slight problem is you have to ensure the device is not taken by accident. You will need to obtain the device again to play back the recorded footage. The footage is often played back by connecting the device to a specific play back device or normally by being inserted in to a PC via USB stick.

What ever your situation is a spy camera will allow you to carry out discreet surveillance without arising any suspicion. Your children deserve this level of protection.

Hi Ben, welcome to searchwarp. Thank you for sharing these important tips and things parents should consider. It can be a scary time and we need to do our best to make sure our children are safe.

I would encourage you to proof read this article, there are a lot of mistakes, that make it a little difficult to want to continue to read. We all make a few mistakes, but this is where spell check and even a dictionary for the proper word usage and spelling come in.

For example, you might want to change "lies" to "lives" in the opening paragraph.

I hope I don't sound too harsh :-) we as writers on searchwarp do what we can to encourage eachother to be the best we can be.
